e-mail from Greg Bartow, San Francisco Public Utilities Commission,
to Keith Lichten, Regional Water Quality Control Board,
agreeing to the conditions set for approval of the Vista Grande Canal sampling plan
    January 24, 2006

Hi Keith,

Thank you for taking the time to review the 2005-2006 Lake Merced Sampling Plan prepared by EOA for Daly City and the SFPUC. In addition, thank you for reviewing John Plummer's comments and Patrick Sweetland and EOA's responses to John Plummer's comments.  I just wanted to follow up after our telephone call last Friday. You suggested that RWQCB staff would send an email concurring with the 3rd season of the Lake Merced stormwater treatment project provided 1) that the SFPUC and Daly City attempt to take samples within 24 hours (but not more than 72 hours) after each discharge and 2) that we set up a statistics meeting with RWQCB staff, public stakeholders (including John Plummer), and staff and consultants of Daly City and the SFPUC. Daly City and SFPUC staff are prepared to implement the Plan once we recieve RWQCB staff suggestions and concurrence.

Thanks,

Greg Bartow
