                 WHO'S MINDING THE STORE?: Regarding the latest story about the overpumping and dropping
                 water levels at Lake Merced in San Francisco:  What is incomprehensible is that it took a court
                 action requested by the Committee to Save Lake Merced to stop the golf clubs from drilling yet
                 another well into the aquifer under the lake. It makes no sense that the City of San Francisco,
                 entrusted with the job to protect the lake, has done diddly-squat while the lake is sucked right down
                 the drain.
