Michael:
We are all very pleased to see that the Harding Park golf course is once again open, green and very beautiful.
As you know, the Board of Supervisors passed an ordinance that funded this development. That ordinance provided a ladder for application of funds generated by the new course, first for maintenance, then for capital improvements at the course, and so on. The sixth rung in this ladder served to create the community as a party of interest, stating that remaining funds should be allocated to "Capital improvements to the park and recreation areas contiguous to Harding Park and under the Departments jurisdiction."
While the same ordinance calls for annual updates on the financial performance of Harding Park golf course, to be presented to the Commission at a public hearing, we hope that you will consider providing the community with interim reports, at least quarterly, indicating the income and allocations of funds, realized against forecast. Of course our interest is especially related to the anticipated allocation at year end for that sixth rung.
Thank you in advance, and we look forward to receiving your reports.
John
